The Heights Primary School's new Headteacher

The Heights Primary School's long standing Headteacher, Mrs Karen Edwards, has announced her retirement at the end of this academic year.

BPET and the school have carried out an extensive recruitment campaign and, after a rigorous and open process, are delighted to announce that Mrs Hayley Harrison has been appointed as the new Headteacher starting 1 September 2024.

Mrs Harrison brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to leadership: she has been the headteacher at Chalfont St Peter CE Academy for the past six years, a school rated the highest performing junior school in Buckinghamshire last year.

Mrs Harrison met with staff, pupils, Local Advisory Board members and parents; she also lead an assembly and a presentation, and was interviewed by a panel. All involved in the process were impressed with her clear vision for the school's future over the next five years and beyond. Her drive for continuous improvement, coupled with a nurturing environment, will ensure every child reaches their full potential.

We want to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Edwards for her hard work and dedication in developing The Heights Primary School into the highly successful school it is today. The Heights  provides an excellent educational offer for pupils and is highly regarded as a school of choice in the local area. Starting this from scratch is a huge achievement and we are indebted to her for all that has been achieved the legacy that has been left for the future.
