Whiteknights Primary School's new Headteacher
We are delighted to announce Mrs Bridget Reynolds as the new substantive Headteacher for Whiteknights Primary School, following a thorough and rigorous recruitment process.
Bridget has been at Whiteknights for over six years, and at the reins of the school as the acting headteacher since January 2024. She has demonstrated a clear passion and vision for the future of the school, primarily maintaining the very high standards which consistently put Whiteknights in the top 1% for pupil attainment in England.
Bridget will also lead the growth of the school's provision for foundation subjects, sport and the arts, which is something she has a deep passion for, and we are very excited by the ideas she proposed to move the school forward.
Mrs Reynolds says: "I am proud to have been selected as the Headteacher of Whiteknights Primary School. It is in an honour and a privilege to lead one of the top performing schools in the country. My aim is to continue to drive the school forward so that it becomes exemplary in every aspect of school life."
Mark Greatrex, BPET Chief Executive, said: "Huge congratulations to Bridget on being successful in applying for the role. We did have a very strong field, which was openly advertised with the support of an executive search organisation, and we felt that she is absolutely the best person for the job. Many thanks to all the staff, parents and Local Advisory Board members who supported this recruitment process.
Fraser McCarthy, Chair of the Local Advisory Board, said: "It has been a privilege to participate in this process and to work with Bridget over the years. We knew she was a strong candidate for the role, but I was pleasantly surprised to see her excel and receive so much support. Bridget has already played a big part in the schools' achievements so far. We are confident that she can not only maintain the current high standard, but take the school to another level. Well done Bridget!"
