BPET Invictus Games 2026

On 24 April, Rivermead Primary School hosted the Invictus Games for our Berkshire hub, welcoming 50 pupils from all five of our schools. Our London hub held its own Invictus Games on 1 May, hosted by Watling Park School and joined by Dollis Primary School, Whitehall Park School, and Deer Park School.

The event was designed to champion inclusion and give every child the chance to take part, try new activities, and enjoy sport in a supportive environment. Pupils took part in Boccia, Kurling, soft‑tip archery and axe throwing, scoop ball, and Dangerball. While points were awarded, the focus remained firmly on participation, confidence‑building, teamwork, and creating a positive, enjoyable experience for all.

At the end of the day, every pupil received a gold medal in recognition of their effort and enthusiasm. Each child gave their absolute best, and we’re incredibly proud of everyone who took part.

Organised by BPET Sports Champion, Jack Briley, and supported by sports coaches across the participating schools, the event created a truly inclusive atmosphere where every achievement was celebrated. Thank you to all staff involved for their support and encouragement, and making the games such a success.

Coach Jack said: “It was fantastic to see so many children come together in a positive and supportive environment, with great enthusiasm shown from the very start!”
