Training and Courses

Providing continuing professional development to BPET staff is important to us. Every year, we offer a vast programme of training and networking events to support staff at every stage of their career, as well as the BPET Annual Conference, which bring together staff from across all schools with the aim to inspire, learn, share best practice, and work together to best deliver our shared aims.

Initial Teacher Training

We deliver our School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) in partnership with Teach First. This is a postgraduate programme which lasts one year, and involves an effective mix of live training in class, self-directed study, and one-to-one support. The final qualification is awarded by Sheffield Hallam University
