Snapshot of a year: 2024-25

As the academic year is coming to an end, we want to reflect on the achievements of our pupils, schools, and trust.

Well done to all BPET pupils and staff for an amazing year!

Pupil and school achievements

  • 74% of BPET pupils are projected to meet the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined which is 12% higher than national average.
  • Deer Park School has been ranked the 14th best performing primary school in the whole of England by the School Guide TOP 50 Primary School League Table. This ranking is created using the most up-to-date, official government figures from across the UK (including progress scores, SATs results and performance data), Ofsted inspection reports, accurate catchment area mapping and parental feedback.
  • Evendons Young Engineer, Maisie, won the Primary Engineers competition in the South of England with her inventive eco-friendly design: the 4 Bin Swopper. 
  • Khaiyron, a pupil from Halley House School (now in Year 7), had his drawing selected amongst thousands of entries to be exhibited at the Royal Academy's Young Artist Summer Show 
  • Kilburn Grange School successfully campaigned to close the road in front of their school off to cars.
  • Halley House School was awarded £10,000 by the Goldsmiths Centre to renovate their art room.

Ofsted inspections

 In the 2024-25 academic year, two of our 12 schools underwent Ofsted inspections or received their Ofsted rating. The results are that:

Public figure appearances

  • Miquita Oliver held a skipping workshop at Kilburn Grange School where she shared her passion for skipping with our pupils.
  • Climate Minister and Earley MP visited Whiteknights primary school celebrating the school's ongoing commitment to sustainability and its journey towards achieving Net Zero.
  • Maidenhead MP, Joshua Reynold, visited Braywick Court School and led an assembly about the role of an MP and his work in the local community.

BPET

  • We are in the top 9% of MATs and top 7% of larger primary academy trusts in England 
  • Dollis Primary School joined us in September 2024 increasing our family up to 12 schools; altogether we are now educating over 4,000 pupils across London and Berkshire
  • We held our annual BPET Conference last November which brought together over 300 members of staff across all 12 of our school for a day of networking, and learning.
  • Our first cohort of SCITT student shave come to the end of their training year, with 83% of our trainees offered a job in a BPET school.
